Since launching our CSR program in 1985, Arackathara Group has treated community development, education, sport and the environment as part of the business, not apart from it. Three generations on, that commitment still shapes how we run every unit in Kottayam.
Year our CSR program was launched
Families supported directly & indirectly
Production units investing locally in Kottayam
Generation continuing the commitment
Support for schooling and skill-building among the children of our workforce and the wider Kottayam community, so opportunity travels beyond the factory gate.
Investment in playing fields and coaching for local youth — including the turf and gym facilities that also keep our own team active and healthy.
Local infrastructure, welfare drives and everyday support for the neighbourhoods around our units — including flood relief donations and funding a new house for a family whose home was destroyed in the 2018 Kerala floods. Kottayam is home, not just a manufacturing address.
Reclaimed and recycled rubber compounds, continuous energy-performance monitoring and controlled emissions across all six production units.
Independently verified under the Sedex SMETA framework — fair wages, business ethics and working conditions held to global buyer benchmarks.
A safe, healthy environment for every employee and contractor — from safety training to the on-site gym and sports turf that support life beyond the shift.
Manufacturing is demanding work. As part of our commitment to workplace health, we give our people real places to stay active — an on-site gym and our own sports turf — so staying strong and staying connected is part of the working week, not an afterthought.

A fully equipped gym on our Kottayam campus, open to employees before and after shifts — free weights, resistance machines and a dedicated cardio zone, all floored in the same interlocking matting we manufacture and export.

The Group operates its own sports arena at Chingavanam — a full turf ground open to employees and the local community, hosting football, cricket and weekend tournaments that bring every unit together off the factory floor.

Our people live in the same neighbourhoods our units operate in. That is why our CSR work stays close to home — supporting local schools, sponsoring sport for the district's youth, funding a new house for a family that lost theirs in the 2018 floods, and keeping our own workplaces safe and healthy for the people who show up every day.
